Welcome back people! Today I’m going to take you to a hotel… to the 25 hours hotel Bikini Berlin to be exact. When I went to Berlin last week, I had the opportunity to stay there for a night. This was the first time I’ve stayed at a designer hotel and I must say the experience was fan-tas-tic!
The hotel is different than the usual hotels out there. Bikini Berlin has a theme… a jungle theme to be precise. The hotel is also near the Zoo of Berlin so it all fit in the picture. You can chose between different types of rooms which are Urban M, Urban M Twin, Jungle M, Urban I, Jungle I and Urban XL. We had the chance to sleep in the Urban M room! We had this breathtaking few over the Tiergarten park and the Zoo. The room itself wasn’t that big but big enough. The facilities that we had were for example:
–free mini bike rental
-ipod docking station
– free breakfast at the NENI Berlin
– flat screen tv
For those who love to take a sauna or to work out, the hotel offers a sauna and a gym. The costs for these facilities are 10 euros per person per stay.
The hotel itself has many facilities you can enjoy during your stay. For example you can have drinks and lounge at the Monkey Bar. Besides the Monkey Bar, the hotel has the NENI Berlin which is the main restaurant of the hotel at the 10th floor.
We had breakfast the next morning at NENI Berlin & I must say that the breakfast was really good. It was a buffet and there were a lot of options to choose from. The thing that I liked the most is that everything was home-made for examples the juices, smoothies, salades, marmelades, yoghurt where all freshly made by the hotel. It was delicious! Plus how cool is it to have breakfast and have an incredible rooftop view at the same time!
The woodfire bakery is a place where you can grab lunch and pastries for on the go. If you wanna have a beautiful view of the city you can also head over to the rooftop terrace of the hotel and enjoy the beautiful view of Berlin city.
25 Hours Hotel Bikini Berlin also offers work spaces for those that need to get work done during their stay at the hotel. There are many rooms available to have meetings such as the Mircrohouses and Freiraum.
On the 3rd floor, you have work areas as well which are called Bikini Island, Work Labs and the DJ Corner. There are many lounge couches to simply relax and read a book or just to have a chat with one another. At the same area you have a corner where you can find a bunch of lp CD’s and a head phone & just listen to your favorite music. I’m tellin’ ya whatever you need, you’ll get hahaha.
If you also feel like gettin’ some fresh air, you can go to the terrace and enjoy the pretty view in the exotic couches. Too bad we couldn’t chill there cause the whether was quite awful but I managed to take a picture!
The hotel is in the neighbourhood of Tiergarten. If you’re traveling with public transportation the stop where you need to get out is Zoologischer Garten. If you’re flying to Tegel Airport you can get the bus (number X9 or 109) that stops directly at Zoologischer Garten.
The neighbourhood is very vibrant & urban. You will find many clothing shops like H&M, Weekday, Forever 21 and restaurants around the corner. As for food, you will find all types of restaurants from Italian food to Chinese food to fast food chains. By the way, If you feel like visiting the real jungle, Berlin Zoo is just a few steps away!
Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Bikini Berlin. The staff was so friendly & helpful as well. The food is great and I love the fact that even if you decide to stay at the hotel all day you wont get bored because the hotel offers so much! If I ever go back to berlin, I’ll definitely go back. This might be the most fun hotel experience I’ve had so far! If you’re thinking about a place to stay in Berlin, I really recommend this hotel. Take it from me, this will be an experience you won’t forget!
