Hi guys! How was your weekend? You might noticed the trend that every Monday I come up with a new article on It’s True Blog! And I’m happy to say that it’s working out well for me time-wise so expect a new article every Monday on this platform! Today I’m going to share 3 Investments To Consider For Taking Your Blog To A Professional Level.
I often get the question like how did I manage to have such a professional looking blog, pictures, email and so on. It’s not difficult at all to have a professional looking blog but the question is are you willing to invest a bit of your financial resources in to it? Here are the 3 investments you should consider for a taking your blog to a professional level.
1. Change your domain from blogspot.com / wordpress.com to a .com
I often see new bloggers having a domain name that shows where they are hosting/running their blogs from. Look, when I started of I had that too but I quickly knew that it needed to change asap! First it simply shows that you’re a newbie, secondly the link is way too long and to be honest it doesn’t really look that professional if I have to be blunt. Changing your domain name to a .com /.nl / .co.uk and so on doesn’t have to be expensive. All you need is a hosting company where you can purchase a domain name from. I think I started paying 12 euros per year to have my link like www.itstrueblog.com. Not expensive at all right?
2. Invest in a professional looking template
I’m not savvy at all with creating websites from scratch so what I’ve always done is investing in Blogger template, now recently a WordPress template. There are loads of websites out there where you can buy website templates. This saves you a lot of time especially if you’re not good in building a website from scratch. I often find a lot of beautiful, creative templates on Etsy with an affordable price for newbie bloggers. If you have a Blogger website, you will find loads of shops that offer those too.
3. Get that professional looking email address
I remember when I got my personal email address email@example.com, I felt unstoppable hahaha. I felt like now I’m ready for business. Getting your own email address doesn’t have to be pricy at all. I created one through my hosting company and if I can remember I pay about 2 euros per month. That’s not even a coffee at Starbucks guys!
