Hi guys, thank you for making your way back to It’s True Blog. Remember when I wrote about why you should move from Blogger to WordPress? Well today I actually want to do part 2. Today I’m going to talk about 4 Must Have Plugins For Your WordPress Blog To Run Better.
1 – Jetpack
The first plug-in I would recommend is Jetpack. Most of you WordPress users would have the plugin MonsterInsights which actually imports the data from Google Analytics. However I feel like the data synchronized onto the WordPress platform is just way too minimal. That is the reason why I downloaded Jetpack so that I also have in-depth information of the statistics on It’s True Blog. If I really want to keep tracks of certain conversions created, I would then head off to Google Analytics to have more information on that. But I love to have access to all the important information at one place.
2 – Yoast
Okay so this has been an eye opener for me ever since I moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress. As a blogger, we all know how tough it is at times to know how SEO friendly our articles and website are. I have been struggling with this for years! On the platform Blogger, there is no such thing as a plugin that will help you boost you SEO friendliness for your articles and website. Since I implemented the plugin Yoast, I’ve learnt about the factors that should be paid attention to in order to make your articles SEO-proof! If you want more features within Yoast, there’s also a Premium version you can subscribed to for a monthly fee. Yoast is very easy to use and it’s very effective. I would recommend this plugin to everyone using a WordPress website.

3 – Elementor
Elementor is another plugin that I recently discovered. Have you come across blogs that are just super creative in the lay-out of the articles? Well one way to do it is via Elementor. Elementor gives you that freedom to actually go all the way with how you want to arrange your articles. From colors, to fonts to extra columns to arranging pictures and a whole lot more.
4 – WPMU Dev
WPMU Dev is the overall name of the platform that offers many plugins for a faster and better working WordPress website. One of their popular plugins is WP Smush. This is perfect if you have a lot of images on your website. We all know that images need optimization to prevent your website becoming slow. What WP Smush does is, it compresses your images for you all in one click without losing the quality of the images. My website has been loading faster ever since.
Another popular plugin is Hummingbird. Hummingbird helps you optimize the website page speed by Gzip file compressing, minifying, combining and optimising files. I personally have so little knowledge of what goes behind closed doors in order to make your website SEO/user-friendly and to improve page speed. So it’s brilliant that I can ”outsource” this part of the work.
I’ve been using these two plugins from WPMU Dev for more than 2 months now and I couldn’t be more satisfied. As mentioned, they have many more handy plugins to discover to help your WordPress website perform better. The plugins can be downloaded separately or you can try their premium service which will give you access to all of the premium features of each of their plugins. I’m still in my 30 days trial which is completely free of charge.
So that’s it for today it for today guys. These were the 4 Must Have Plugins For Your WordPress Blog To Run Better. Let me know if you find this article handy and make sure you subscribe to this blog as well! Which plugins are your go-to plugins at the moment?
